Xi'an - Walls & Streets

Xi'an with a population approaching 9 million has a history of over 3,000 years and was the capital city of several dynasties. It is usually regarded as the eastern terminus of the Silk Road and has long been a cultural and industrial centre. It is a major tourist centre famous for the nearby Terracotta Army. The centre, still encircled by a complete city wall, is pleasant.
