Xi'an - Banpo Neolithic Village

Banpo archaeological site contains the remains of a village of about 6,500 years ago. There are two main areas, a large building covering the excavated remains of the village and a hall with various artefacts. First discovered in the 1950s it was visited by millions in the 1980s but few people seem to go there now. That is a pity because the craftsmanship of some of the pottery is very good.
