To Meadow Lake

After a family visit we stopped at Lloydminster on the Alberta/Saskatchewan border then headed northwest to Meadow Lake and its Provincial Park. Meadow Lake, although halfway up Saskatchewan is effectively the end of the settled prairie area as further north lies the vastness of the Laurentian Shield which is devoid of settlement apart from a few isolated mining communities.
