We made a day trip from the Wasmuth's farm to visit Luseland, which is a small town where the first settlement in 1907 was mainly by German Lutherans who bought land from Sam Luse. It is far from any tourist beat but we had a specific interest in that it was where Eleanor's Russian grandfather had settled after WW1 and her mother had spent her early years.
