Springtime in Holland

Day 5 Index

We had an afternoon to explore Amsterdam which is often described as the greatest planned city in Europe with all its canals. It is renowned for its religious tolerance and after the Reformation Catholics were still allowed to practice their religion as long as it wasn't done openly. Many Catholics built churches in their houses and one of the best preserved can be seen at Museum Onsí Lieve Heer op Solder.
