Beynac-et-Cazenac

Once an important port on the Dordogne Beynac, with its narrow cobbled streets by the river and ch‰teau set high above, is a major tourist honeypot. The ch‰teau, impressive from the outside, was a major disappointment inside with several of the more interesting areas only open to organised groups. Don't bother with the English guide sheet, it's useless and out of date.
