Suzdal - Kremlin

Kremlins are the usually fortified ecclesiastical and administrative centres of Russian towns. Suzdal's was first established about 1100 in a meander of the Kamenka. Suzdal rose to become the centre of an independent principality before becoming eclipsed by Vladimir and then by Moscow.
