Narsarsuaq
We
spent the last part of our time in Greenland at Narsarsuaq which, with
a population of less than 200, is not so much a settlement but more of
an airport. It consists of a few buildings around the old USAF airfield
which has been reopened as a hub for internal flights in the south of
Greenland plus a few international flights to Denmark and Iceland. As
such it has a steady stream of tourists who, like us, spend a few days
there and move on. Despite that rather bleak description it is in a
splendid setting has a good hotel, a youth hostel and there is a fair
bit to do from there.
