Cromwell

From Fox Glacier we headed south and through the mountains via Haast to Lake Wanaka. It was an extremely wet day with heavy rain and the mountainsides were pouring with water. Initially we convinced ourselves that once into Otago (which is allegedly semi-arid) it would fair up. However the rain persisted through Wanaka and only began to ease up when we reached Cromwell, where we were to spend several nights. Cromwell was a delightful place to stop.
